… are there more gurl bloggers than boy bloggers?
Discuss.
i wonder if there is a relationship between "professional bloggers" and personal bloggers, and the ratio of male and femal bloggers….. the funny thing, i read loads of professional male bloggers, you know the type, they are pundits, or industry dudes; but there are only a few female professional types….
and then on the personal side, there are loads of female personal bloggers, and only a handful of personal guy bloggers…
still curious..

for example, but I think for the most part, you are right. Hate to raise hoary old stereotypes, but guys are more technically-oriented (how many gadget-freak women do you know) and more career/success driven. We are more likely to see work and life as the same thing, whereas women are much more likely to compartmentalize.
Women are also much more inclined to converse about personal things, whereas guys are much more likely to keep personal things personal, and talk about concepts and things. These dichotomies naturally lead to the split you've identified between most professional bloggers being guys, and most personal bloggers being women. It will probably even out over time, but I think there will always be an imbalance.
Interesting observation. I hadn't noticed it until you pointed it out.
